TRAUMATOLOGY

Traumatology is the discipline of our specialty that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of those diseases of the Locomotor System produced by a traumatic agent.

Trauma can be high energy when the traumatic agent acts with violence (traffic accidents, accidents in sports of high risk, precipitation from high altitude) and low energy when the traumatic agent acts with less intensity (accidents in low risk sports, falls on flat foot and various contusions).
