PNEUMOLOGY

FUNCTIONAL RESPIRATORY STUDY: pathophysiological assessment of the respiratory functional state that allows to quantify the degree of functional deterioration with great accuracy. Includes: spirometry and bronchodilator test, lung volumes and CO diffusion, bronchial provocation test with methacholine, determination of expired fraction of nitric oxide (phenomena) .

BRONCOSCOPY: Bronchoscopy (respiratory endoscopy) is a complementary respiratory exploration that is performed for the diagnosis of respiratory pathologies that require it (respiratory infection, study of tumor pathology, interstitial lung disease, etc.). This procedure is performed by a specialist in Pulmonology. The bronchoscopy procedures are: Bronchoaspiration, bronchoalveolar lavage, bronchial biopsies or transbronchial biopsies and lymphadenopathy.

SLEEP PATHOLOGY STUDY: includes the diagnostic study as well as treatment of obstructive sleep apnea-obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (SAHS), and other disorders respiratory symptoms associated with sleep. It is performed by a specialist in the area (pulmonologist) through diagnostic tests such as respiratory polygraphy and CPAP treatment.
